This is one those things where I hear people in every position say that it's the worse. Being the oldest sibling wasn't great. It's just sort of assumed that you're the mature and capable one regardless of whatever you're going through. Your entire existence is treated as a failed experiment and your life revolves around how it affects your younger siblings while that same consideration is never returned towards you. No, you're the oldest. We're not gonna raise you to be able to handle what we want from you but we're damn sure gonna demand it anyway, just because that's what being the oldest means. Apparently, my mom believed in physical punishment with my oldest sister, but by the time it got to me, she was someone I can't even imagine doing that when told the stories.
