Biting the bullet and going to freeze half a loaf since I know I won't be using it in the next few days Do you just throw half the bag in there? I've been freezing bread for a couple years now. I'll take it out of the freezer and pop it in the toaster. Tastes fine. It's when I used to put it in the fridge where it'd get stale and lose some flavor --- "Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words." - Proverbs 23:9. I've been freezing and thawing bread for years and never really noticed any mold showing up more quickly because of it. I always freeze bread. When I want some, I either just leave out as many slices as I want to thaw, put them in the microwave for like 10-15 seconds or put them in the oven on the warm setting for a bit (mine ranges from I think 155-190 on that setting) --- Always check timestamps... ...
