This game is probably a notable reason for a lot of my late-2000s distaste for the characters and world of FFVII which I know a lot shared. Advent Children was also a part of that but this just really wrecks what the main game set-up and almost seems like a parody of it.

DoC does not exist for me.

Vincent Valentine, you're aware your game sucks right? If you would inquire as to Square Enix stop adding layers of stupid on top of FF7's story, that would be wise.

At least they waited another 15 years before doing it again.

I literally wrote an essay on why I gave it a 2. If you have it archived, post it up here and then we can argue about the points I made.

Omori fucking blows as a game. The gameplay is just an exercise in tedium and the story which is the only real draw of the game, shoots itself in the foot. Even if you discount the terribly botched ending, 90% of the story which is a terribly paced imitation of Earthbound and Undertale is just not fun as either. And I don't even like Earthbound that much but Omori makes it look like a world beater of a game in quality.

Never ever said every niche game is overrated so stop spinning that narrative (I could argue the point about how a 'niche' game can even be overrated in the first place) but yeah most indie games are. Not all but most of them are.

Indie games receive egregious favoritism and bias from both professional reviewers and their income challenged fanbase because they have to take pity on the game made on a shoestring budget by a studio of two from their mom's basement.

To be clear I am unbiased as host and everybody is entitled to their opinion, thats the whole point of these topics, I was more just referring to how it was at or near the top for ages then dropped dozens of places haha.

I mean he counted your rating, but you've openly admitted to having an agenda against indie games and literally tried to game the system by changing your score to a lower rating to prevent an indie game from getting a higher score than you think it deserved, so it's not exactly unfair to question your motives

Might be. Though I have to say, I wonder if it should get broken up like for FF14, especially since the difference in story quality between chapters 1-5 and chapter 6-onward is uncanny

It would be the only Mobile exclusive though there have been a number of games that released on mobile as well as console and PC like the Telltale games, Erica, the Ace Attorney games, and so on.

Regarding splitting up games the general rule is that if it is a separate release it gets split so in the case of something like FGO I probably wouldnt count it. That sounds more like an episodic game like Life is Strange than a game with multiple expansions making a whole like FFXIV or Starcraft II. However I know very little about that game so youll have to help me out.

I don't think splitting it makes any sense since you'd have to split it into dozens of entries...

"Income challenged fanbase" lmao as if most AAA games can't be picked up for like $10 within a year of release.

I guess Nintendo games must be the best of all because those are always $40+ even years later.
