who would've been better? idk he's done a fair bit as president. I'd obviously desire somebody much younger and much further left, but I really don't understand when people mock something/someone with the potential for an alternative without actually indicating a concrete alternative. most of the other candidates kinda...sucked. Sanders and Warren would be top of my list, but I still have criticisms, and neither won the nomination.

I was sceptical of 60 minutes Australia's reporting at first but the evidence they compiled is compelling; I'll check out those video's when I get the time but the opposition to the lab leak theory stemmed first from an overabundance of caution to prevent the Chinese from locking us out, and then from a desire of the Chinese government to downplay their culpability in the event, I have not seen any evidence that would lead to better theory, but I also have not been looking at the intelligence specific to the origins in months.

Wuhan may have been designed and built as a level four bio lab, but they kicked out the French before they could finish finalizations of certification of their level four status, with the international community warning anyone who would listen that an accident was inevitable.

EDIT: Yeah, those papers are couched to avoid angering the Chinese government to keep WHO operations active in China, they do not rule out a lab leak, and may actually point to deficiencies in the labs protocols.

I find it contradictory when people claim to have an interest in something and then claim to be 'sick of the whole thing'.

Because this was a softball that never should have gotten as bad as it did and the people in charge kept making the wrong decisions; it's like being a fan of the Mets or the Knicks or the Jets, at some point even the most hardcore fan is going to start booing and tossing things on the field.

I like watching the Leafs but when they lose to Boston in the first round again, largely because they were playing nine on five hockey at Bettman's behest, I get pretty bitter about the whole thing.

So yeah, when the plan to tackle a global pandemic is shelved, because it would hurt the economy, only for the resulting "plan" to do far greater damage, and then have officials peace out at some point and say, "It's your problem now, have fun living with it" yeah, I am pretty fucking done with it.
