This has actually been studied extensively, and the result is always the same. In a situation of total systems collapse, it's completely impossible to just bunker away like fallout. Even with non perishable foods and electric generators, groups of less than about 20 people would rapidly deteriorate mentally and socially.

And for groups larger than 20, it becomes a free for all with food supplies.

C, I would use stealth and cunning in this imaginary scenario barging in isnt my style

In 2012, a man in WA state named Peter Keller was a prepper that killed his wife and daughter. He then fled to a bunker in the woods. Apparently his wife and daughter were not worthy to survive the apocalypse

He also shot his pets I think. A dog and cat

Cops eventually got into his bunker and found him dead with a bullet in his brain

Also simple surprise would easily defeat a few people who weren't immediately armed.

So what I'm hearing here is the best way to survive the Apocalypse is going to be to get a job helping one of the Billionaire Warlords run their secret bunker. Because even in the vault someone needs to wash the dishes. Jeff Bezos sure as hell isn't going to.

I for me can't wait for life to become Bioshock oh boy.

Nobody smart would barge right into a fortified position. If it's underground, it needs some kind of ventilation system, and the air intake for it is a highly vulnerable point. Not hard to make up one of many different kinds of highly toxic gases or smokes.
