Nah. My character gets first priority of each spell I encounter in BG1, since only she will transfer learned spells to BG2.

Ah, I see. How much time is implied to have passed between BG1 and BG2? Not to mention that you can multi-class Imoen if you want to adhere to Canon.

It's been 20 years, but I finally learned Magic Missile, Sleep, and Find Familiar.

Same, except I learned the minor drain spell instead of Magic Missile.

Although if you read your character's bio, it says he/she felt like learning opportunities were constrained in the citadel, and knows they would be able to learn more with experience out in the real world.
