I don't know why anybody is surprised by this. The Cowboys season ended the moment Smith went down.

I crashed into bed by 10 but it doesn't seem like I missed much except the end of the Cowboys season.

Also I know a Seahawks fan and he said we should #stopthecount and just award the Seahawks the NFC West.

How about don't throw trash at anybody no matter what team they're on?

This shit is irritating as hell.

At Orlando City Soccer like 5 years ago fans threw shit on the pitch in protest of a really bad officiating job in a loss to Atlanta (rivals) when both teams were undefeated. It was bad officiating but still never justified.

And now the result of that is all drinks have to be in plastic cups instead of cans or plastic bottles. And all bags brought into the stadium have to be ridiculously tiny or transparent. And it has been the bane of my wife's existence as their max bag size is smaller than her phone and women's clothes doesn't have pockets. I have another female friend who it pisses off (the same as my wife) because whenever she's on her period she can't fit it all in the bag size they give you so has to have it all on view in a transparent bag. They both feel it's just a sexist regulation that punishes women.

And all this because some morons got too drunk and upset and threw plastic bottles on the pitch 5 years ago

Fucking disgusting from the Cowboys fans that did that. I'm as down on this team as I think pretty much anybody was (Though I didn't expect them to be worse than NYG/WAS unless injuries), but that's just unacceptable regardless.

As a Hawkeye fan I've seen 4 goal line fumbles in two games lol.

McManus is highly accurate within 50 yards so doing a bunch of short plays to move up makes sense when you have a shorter distance you need to get.

But this last minute has been horrible.

Denver's coaching is looking hellishly incompetent on every level on this drive.

Yeah Hackett definitely looked like a rookie head coach there.

Awful final drive that almost got saved by McManus.

Wilson should be pissed but also him not seeing Jeudy on the third down is what led to that situation.

Inexcusable to constantly run off 30-35 seconds between plays. Idiot receivers who could go out of bounds also didn't do it. The entire offense is also to blame.

I expected Denver to be a lot of hype but frankly they looked incompetent to end that game.

I'm a Broncos fan but to be honest I was expecting an 8 or 9 win season so I never bought the hype.

I also think in a few years the Russ trade will be seen as a mistake. Trading away the future to not win the division with Russ.

As a lifelong Jags fan, I can tell you I was relieved Nate Hackett did not become our HC. Hes not good

I didn't bye the hype but I thought they'd wreck Seattle and make the hype hotter.

They didn't even seem to care they were running the clock out on themselves though. It feels like a bad portent.

But he probably won't be worse than Vance at least.

There's nothing wrong with running clock there, except after the 3rd down play, they wasted clock for no reason.

Well, that and the fact the strategy needs to be to run clock while kicking a high percentage game-winner as time expires. Absolutely no idea why they kick from 64 yards out instead of going for a 4th and 5.

Yeah I was okay with the drive until the last few plays. And not using your timeouts was dumb.

They ran 3 minutes from the clock for 20 yards and were still way out of reasonable FG range with under a minute left.

That's godawful.

the kick is def the dumbest thing to me. Even after they ran the clock then used the TO, you do still have 2 of them left so if you convert on 4th and 5, you still get at least one more play to get closer. You have time, not a lot but enough. Choosing not even to go for it is just so ****in dumb.

This is fair. The Ravens can kick from anywhere on the field and I assume Tucker will make it.

But no other team should be settling for 40+ yard FGs if they can get closer.

I'd trust McManus from 40-50 yards. Wouldn't even be worried at that range.

I mean, most NFL kickers will make a good percentage from that range, but it is a notably more difficult kick than the 30s and in. You should be trying to get the kick under 40 if you can, and at that point, I'm okay with teams just running out the clock and settling for the kick. We saw a lot of 40+ yard missed kicks in critical moments this weekend.
