My friend had his daughter a few years ago. He works an ok paying job and im not sure what his girlfriend does. When he was telling me he wanted a kid i tried to tell him to wait but i was happy for him when he had her.

But like since then he works the same job sold his nice car for a beater and then moved back in with his parents.

I know statistically it says people are waiting to have kids but not my dumb friends.

This guy that I use to work with. He was slightly older than me (he was has around 25 at the time). He has three kids. According to him, he says he doesn't use condoms because there's still a 1% chance that they could fail...

Im not young and I still don't think I'm mature enough to be a dad.

Maybe having a kid actually changes you. But I am those types of people who fear change.

I've been like this all my life and its not bad at all.

26 isn't too young to have a kid. The problem is that the economic system we're living with has squeezed the working class so hard that it becomes financially precarious to do it at that time.

I think back then people had kids before they were even 20 and even got married prior to turning 20. My grandmother was 18 when she and my grandfather got married and had my uncle the day after her 19th birthday. A great aunt of mine got married a few months before she turned 15 and had her first two children before she turned 20. And when she got married, she wasn't even pregnant with her first child.

I was still 17 when my kid was born. And people have kids even younger than that. Although they shouldn't.

Well that has nothing to do with him having a kid. Having to move back in with parents has been pretty common among millennials, even without kids.

lolwut? Your 30s is a perfectly fine time to have kids. By the time they're adults, you'll be in/around your 50s and that's not even that old.

Shit I knew a guy in high school on his 2nd kid by 26. He was a big shot at Microsoft though so no financial concerns there.

My mom had my older brother in the 70s, when she was in her mid or late 20s

And back then all her friends said she was way super old to be having a baby. People used to have babies very young and I thought the modern trend was to wait until 30s
