He was famous for being one of the first sculptors since Roman antiquity to do proper anatomy / proportions. It's a shame that she was written to be a Mary Sue. But the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced the series was intentionally sabotaged. I watched an episode by episode review from a guy named Phelous and there's no way the poor decisions could have been accidents. After the pilot, they started piping in random noises like goats and bicycle horns for no reason.
