in front of us and a bunch of female nurses lol

Luckily someone got a urinal and put his dick in it before he let loose on the bed. I guess this is what it's like to get old; you give zero fucks >_>

I was transporting a patient to a test once, all of a sudden he just said "fuck this" and whipped his dick out. Being in a hallway I had nothing to give him. He tagged my arm as I was trying to grab a blanket to cover him.

Healthcare is an amazing field to be in and I don't regret a second of it.

Very typical for medical professionals who work directly with patient care.

Plenty of old nurses will tell you many students with weak stomachs around spontaneous nudity, piss, shit, blood, vomit, skin lesions, cancerous growths, amputations, etc are wasting their time and money even trying. Half of that stuff will hit your uniform at least once a season. At least once a week as a nurse.

The worst I got is some chick covered in shit grabbed my arm and got shit all over it. I could only give it a quick wipe and I had to leave the rest on until I got to the hospital and gave her to staff before I could wash it off >_> It was nasty as fuck

You will see more of this when you work with elderly patients and long term care.

Last month I literally had a 80+ year old strictly non-ambulatory old woman with dementia in an untied hospital gown hobble out of her room on another wing to find me because she confused me for her gynecologist who was probably dead by now and begged me to examine her vaginal area for an "imploding" infection that was all in her head. She wasn't flirting, she just trusted my face and would zero in on me since mediations with other nurses panned out worse.

We've also walked into our staff lounge for an afternoon emergency meeting with the new administrator only to find two senior residents "consensually" getting their mack on pantless. They both have dementia. Company president was due to arrive within a couple hours same day.

Batman, James Bond, and MacGuyver have got nothing on dealing with this shit.

When my nephew was younger, my stepsister had him at the doctor's office and they were in the waiting room and put his hand in his pants. A lot of other people were there and she started getting embarrassed so she asked him "Do you have to go potty?" He made it worse. He yelled "NO!! MY PENIS ITCHES!!"

Reminds me of Gabriel Morton's Dreamcast Tramp story.

A homeless lady in a Dreamcast T Shirt was walking along. They made eye-contact and 2 seconds later he pants just fell down (without her touching them) and she squated down and peed in the street while maintaining eyecontact with him.

Then she walked off as if nothing happened.

He says to him that was the day that cemented that the Dreamcast was dead

Dementia patients are definitely a handful. While I was getting one patient, a dementia resident walked into the room and started making out with another dementia resident in the same room, thinking she was his wife and she just went with it >_> Some staff came in a few seconds later and broke it up lol

Once I got the trifecta of being pissed, shit, and vomited on, I decided clinical was no longer for me which is why I'm in the supply chain works now. Yeah, that kicked me in the ass two and a half years ago when COVID hit. The medical and supply chain fields. What a time to be alive.

Damn that sucks. We had to ration *everything* during covid. I cant imagine managing supplies or doing logistics to work with the supply chain shortage >_>

It's still a thing. It just rotates with what's on backorder. BD is a big supplier for a lot of our stuff and they haven't been able to get us a lot of things, blood specimen tubes and butterfly needles being the flavor of the quarter.
