2) Nominations... actually do a structured one or a free for all save my to decide the field? I'm not doing 1000 lol

You could pretty much copy SMFFFC exactly and have a fun contest, in my opinion. 100 entrants decided by nominations. Any Pokemon or canon Pokemon character

I've actually been kicking around the idea of running a Save My Pokemon with the cut Pokemon from the Gold Beta leak (and a couple named ones from Gen 1). I haven't gone through with it since I'm not sure if anyone else cares about them.

I prefer if Save My Pokemon contests do not have a mix of both Pokemon and human characters. There's enough human characters in Pokemon that we can make a separate contest out of it.

Maybe call it "Save My Favorite Pokemon Trainer" contest (SMFPT), though the contest wouldn't be limited strictly to characters that are trainers (who have their own Pokemon and participate in Pokemon battles). If a character is notable enough in the series without being known as a trainer, there shouldn't be any restriction against them being nominated for entry into the contest. Another potential issue to work out is whether we should allow anime-only characters to be in the contest. Most anime-only characters aren't notable enough to be worthy of a nomination, and I only see Ash Ketchum and Gary Oak having any realistic shot of getting enough nominations to get in.

Yeah I probably wouldn't group humans and pokemon together in this kinda contest. Anyway congratulations to the Venonat named Dragonite on their hard-earned victory.

Don't stop there. Let's also save our favorite attacks and abilities. Also shinies get separate entries.
