Level 7-8 demons started invading in the crusade campaign. So annoying. You can only build 3 teleport circle too at this point of the game. I hope owlcat just ditch management part next, but knowing rouge trader, there will be some kind of trading sim involved with modified engine.

The free ones are largely unsubstantial, but being free means that it's somewhat acceptable. Nothing they add is super worth it but it's additional stuff for free so whatever.

The Commander's Pack is worth it if you want the OST/Art Book but otherwise not. It's not bad value but nothing in-game is compelling.

Inevitable Excess is neat but not really all that good. If you really like the system then there is enough content but overall the story/writing is just meh. If you plan on playing the game multiples of times you can get your money's worth with it but it's a harder sell if you are going to only play the game once.

Through the Ashes is more of the same but the writing is more polished. Probably a better pick up if you don't plan on getting the Season Pass but only really if you are a fan of the game.

Through the Midnight Isles is a "love it or hate it" kind of thing in that it is basically a rogue-like version of the game that you can import your normal party into. Owlcat jank means that it's not flawless but overall if you are into randomized dungeon crawls in the Pathfinder system it's great. Just keep in mind that the difficulty can be rather brutal and if you don't really understand the system you will get bodied hard.

And the Season Pass comes with it all so if you want more than one it is the way to go.

Overall I can't actually recommend them as they are all incredibly combat/game focused while the main reason these games work is the dialog/writing. The games drag after a while and the DLC's don't alleviate that at all. If you are really into the combat then there is fun to be had but you really have to be into the combat for them to be worth it; the rest of the draw of these games not really applying.

i know now what makes the crusade building annoying. they often give us random non-regular units during events or story quests, but they are always a pain to replenish since you only have rng to the mercenary recruitment or trough recruiting decree. i feel it'd be a waste to just dismiss them but it also litter the map with useless units

I just lock everyone like that in two or three useless armies and leave them in Drezen.

Typically can have 4 units per army with no general with how I upgrade, so it keeps things tidy.

Also I blatantly cheat my ass off with Toybox. I did it legit once, I got nothing to prove.

I enjoyed the midnight isles one, as ellis123 said it is all about combat. It's great for testing out builds, that's where I learned how ridiculously strong trickster to legend is. It also has some good loot like broken trickster or that one ring that doubles your morale bonus. With Azata increable might that's a 20 morale bonus at most to attack rolls which is very nice.
