I just had one about an abusive grandaunt I grew up with as a kid. She used to do things like beat and insult my cousins and I, and wouldn't allow us to eat for long periods of time. The nightmare just took that and cranked it up to 11.

She was already an old, angry/miserable, evil-looking Cambodian woman at the time, but here, she's extremely deformed and wearing tattered clothing. I tried not to be in the same room as her, or look at her face.
I'm trapped in her large house with all of my cousins and we were all starving. We were all afraid when she came around.
That night, while we were all going to sleep, she comes in. I guess one of my cousins were still awake, and she starts brutally beating on him. I didn't want to see her, so I just pretended to be asleep, but I can hear him screaming and the blows landing, and catch glimpses of blood, and she eventually drags him out of the room.
On top of avoiding her, I have to keep the my other cousins' morale up and constantly convince them not to eat me.
And eventually, I decide that the only way out is to kill her and it concludes with me nervously approaching her bedroom late at night with a knife.

That was something I sure didn't want to wake up alone in a dark, empty house in the middle of the night to. And what's worse is, some of it isn't too far off. I haven't even thought about her in years. She's been in the ground (where she belongs) for some time. Now every little sound I'm hearing is freaking me out a bit, and I'm really enamoured for some reason
I'm having a hard time going back to sleep, so I just wanted to share.

I have a reoccurring nightmare that's always the same, I'm in highschool again in my senior year and I forget to work on my senior project. When I'm reminded that my project is due soon it's too late and end up failing my last year as a result, thus I repeat my senior year and it happens again and again and again, I even feel extreme embarrassment in the nightmare because "wow I am 25 years old and in highschool still, hopefully the other kids don't ask how old I am".

I must have had this nightmare over 100 times. I never had this nightmare during highschool either, it came later in life.

The strangest part is I graduated highschool fine and I have a college degree.

My anxiety about having this dream is irrational as the dream itself, when I spoke to a doctor about the dream she had me fill out a mental health questionnaire and referred me to a specialist, you know what the specialist said? Time travel is just science fiction, you are not stuck in a loop.

^Yeah mine are very similar to that. Im in school (unspecified) and a large part of the year has gone by but Ive forgotten to go to class and even forgotten my schedule so I dont know where to go.

I think the most recent version is Im in high school again and get bored of the classes, so I just forget about them and hope they dont tank my GPA that I set back then

These happen so often they are hardly even nightmares anymore lol, its just whatever

I've had those too. Like I said, my shit just makes me feel bad, even though I did well in high school.
