Lost
La Brea
The Walking Dead

And others. Shows like that have something in common. They all put their characters in a situation where they no longer have access to modern technology, and yet they always have perfect fresh looking clothes no matter how long they have been in the disaster

La Brea is freshest in my mind cause I just watched season 2 premiere on Tuesday. So I will focus on that. The characters got sent back to the stone age . They have been there by season 2, I think at least a week now maybe. But everyone's clothes are still pristine

It looks like they all just walked out of a store with new outfits. No laundry is available. And they have been in intense situations that should have gotten the clothes dirty and ripped.

It really annoys me.

I've never watched Lost, but from what I've heard, the series finale is the explanation.

Edit: and yeah, the ocean too I guess...

But doesn't it turn out that they're all in purgatory or some shit that amounts to "none of this was real"?

For Lost, as I said it's been like a decade but

I never got the impression it was all fake. I think some of the show happened . They did spend time alive on the island. I thought it was only the scenes in the finale where they were dead. But someone who remembers better can correct me

Ok well the La Brea characters aren't as lucky. They literally are living on edible giant mushrooms around a campfire. They haven't found any modern conveniences

New show on NBC. It's trying to be like Lost

One day a sinkhole as big as several city blocks opens in downtown LA and people fall in. Turns out a time portal thing is underground and they pass through it and end up safely on the ground in the same location but in the stone age

All the flash sideways in the entire 6th season was them in purgatory. By the very end of the season everyone in the church ascended to heaven because they "remembered" their real lives and deaths. They need to remember as a way to accept what happened and move on.

I mean that's subjective probably but I thought so. They end up finding stuff that shouldn't be in that time. Adding to the mystery aspect. Even in season 2, there is much that still makes no sense but I assume all will eventually be explained like in Lost.

Walking Dead they are regularly camped near sources of fresh water when they DON'T have a secure settlement with some manner of electricity. Pretty sure we actually watch them doing laundry in most episodes where they make camp.
