Does the VA suck? Fuck yeah, but that's no fucking reason to get rid of it. I know he'd argue that they'd replace it with something better but it's an idea thought of by people who don't want government or government ran administrations to work. It'd turn into a private enterprise that veterans have to pay for directly.

It isn't that it's irredeemable, it's just chronically understaffed and since it's a government institution, it's utterly mired in buereacracy and other issues that slow down government institutions.

Many vets are just trying to get their issues addressed but it can take months to years to get them addressed, and some times it can back as "Sorry, X isn't service related"

So it has legit criticisms, but still more of a benefit than it not existing
