What the hell? That was either extremely premature or... completely mutual. tbh I haven't seen any fire this season, and maybe he already thought it was just time to retire, and McIntosh wanted it to be a little earlier.

(FYI I am talking about my team, Wisconsin, firing HC Paul Chryst after the abysmal showing against Illinois - but at least it took three bad losses, not just one)

Nebraska gave me false hope this year and thus deserves nothing but pain.

I don't know if it's a shift in recruiting or what, but Northwestern is currently doomed to mediocrity (after ~10 years of modest success) until and unless they can find even a replacement-level quarterback. I don't even think it's strictly an NIL thing, it was just masked by the system in the early '10s and by lucking out on a local QB right when recruiting was starting to resemble its current modern state. I'm all the way checked out on this season and tbh after 4 seasons in a row of weirdness it's hard to see much optimism for anything.

Thats some B1G footballs. Nebraska is somehow a top the West.

It's really kind of sad how poorly Venerables planned this game out. Seriously, no faith whatsoever in any backup QB? Just wildcat it and hope for a win? Normally a defense plays well enough to make an offense one-dimensional. You don't expect a team to intentionally make themselves one-dimensional.

It's just too far from campus tbh. It's a 45 minute ride there. Also, the stadium is really big.
