This finale is genius tbh.

I'm seeing people complaining it skipped over the conflcit resolution and the proper climax and they are technically right, but I've read/watched enough fictional stories to know endings are stupidly hard to do and become even harder the more there are expectations set up by the plot, which She-Hulk was full of.

So this time they just go "screw it, let's write something completely different that somehow still fits with the mood of the show". They avoided all the pitfalls of having to write an epic super-hero ending by refusing to do it and making a joke about it.

And it works. Maybe her arc isn't complete. Maybe she didn't become a super-hero. But who cares, she is a zany green lawyer and she will continue to do that, with varying success. She is still improving as a person, her own way.

Yeah same thoughts for me, like I said I can understand this not being a serious thought-out conclusion to the season's plot but I just fucking loved Jen kicking that to the curb, she as spot-on they just did something really fun in its place. And the way the show's been establishing itself has perfectly allowed for this to fall in place and you don't really care about the loose ends.

Again reiterating my thoughts on Todd Hulk being so bad and I was then quickly laughing my ass off that She-Hulk just retcons him out right away. Loved it.

I get the complaints on Skaar. But MCU's version of Planet Hulk is so different it was going to make big changes to him. No World War Hulk, no saving Sakaar, no actual relationship with Skaar's Mom. His origin story is radically different in the MCU.

I have no idea where theyre going with Hulk and Skaar. Everything about the Hulks situation and the circumstances of him going to space is so drastically different from the comics.

all I can guess is somehow in Captain America 4 or something the integrated personality will break and a more pure Hulk will emerge again, and that personality will be mad about being basically locked away from years?

and maybe that will lead to Skaar going bad, because like theoretically Bruce isnt his father, its Hulk?

I guess I may be in the minority but I thought that She-Hulk finale sucked.

This writing is a disaster and they couldn't even give anyone a satisfying story about She-Hulk finding herself and her confidence. Just all of a sudden at the end she's acting more confident for quite literally no reason.

The main villains were poorly written incels why are we doing this. What the fuck was the point? Why was this building to them as the villains all season and then absolutely fucking nothing with them in the finale? Their big plan was posting a sex video? Seriously? What are we doing here?

The breaking the fourth wall stuff wasn't terribly funny. The writer's room and Kevin stuff came across as more cringe than anything. There were a few laughs had during that whole sequence, mostly just from She-Hulk, and I get wanting to hit the reset on that, but they skipped over any actual conclusion to do some cutesy bullshit.

I don't know. I love She-Hulk the character. I love her comedy and the comics, but this did nothing for me. It's the most shallow and vapid show that spent more time on Jen sulking about her shitty love life than actually exploring anything else that matters, and they piss away anything that they were actually building to in order to have a gag ending.

Yes, it's a comedy drama and I've tried to be very forgiving on a lot of this, but this show was just a complete mess with a few shining moments.

Kind of weird to have FAWS up that high but I think, when watching it, I was more hyped for the next episode than I have been for most of the other shows.

I would only consider the top 3 to be particularly 'good' shows, and only Hawkeye to me was 'great'.

She Hulk said some stuff in the room with Kevin that made me exclaim, out loud, "I wish fucking Shang Chi could break the fourth wall"

(I'm still pissed about the dragon. No mcu movie has ever shot itself in the foot so badly)

Finale was good, I laughed at some of the dumb inside jokes, and Maslany is one of the best additions to the mcu.

Charlie Cox's performance of Matt in this show is just the funniest thing because his line delivery comes across as very 'naturalistic' to me, like he's trying to mimic the behavior of a real life person in this situation, while nobody else is doing that, and it makes him come across as sort of lovably awkward (in a good way - I like the way he approaches the character)
