Hyped for war between Wakanda and Atlantis

Mad that they kept an anti vaxxer and that they are killing off Tchalla. They had many options. They recast Hulk. They recast Red Skull. They recast War Machine. But when actor creates a symbol for an entire generation of black kids, and his wish on his death bed is to be recast and keep the symbol alive..... they don't recast

Just read a series with Ironheart in it, cool to see her show up in this movie. I wonder if we are gonna see Viv Vision at some point before the next Avengers movie.

It's a little perverse that they keep milking Chadwick Boseman's death. They really should've just recasted.

The 3 actors they recasted didnt die in real life, they just didnt want to come back for various reasons. They arent the same thing.

I know that. It's worse. They should have recast Tchalla. It's an insult to Chadwick Boseman

These films feel so samey and even worse directionless. Two hours of origin stories for even more characters while a cool but ultimately pointless villain causes a bit of mayhem and ends in a 40 minute CGI fest where the hero prevails. And then you wait 20 minutes for the credits the end so you can see Bazanko, Zantar or the Amazing Gambo turn up.

A war between 2 world superpowers is the same? We haven't seen anything like this yet. I think you don't understand who Namor is. This movie is about Atlantis declaring war on Wakanda. The MCU has not had a story like this yet

I mean, maybe it's unique in the details, but how it's presented will be exactly the same as how all these films are presented. The heroes will be blindsided by the villain, the heroes will regroup in self doubt but will meet with some new characters offering insight and/or skills to help turn the tide, the villain will enact their final plan and look to be on the verge of winning when the main hero will defeat them in front of a giant greenscreen. After the credits some hitherto unknown hero or villain will be teased.

Can't wait to see this

Yup, I too read the leaks outta curiosity and i think i spoiled myself from it now. FeelsBadMan

If the leaks are true does that mean Dr. Doom really does show up in the post-credits scene? :o

Should have recasted T'Challa. And if they aren't going to do that they should have at least made M'Baku BP. Because Shuri is just...blah.

Also I really hope they don't have Namor's reason for attacking be that the surface world is destroying the oceans, because if that's the reason than I'm team Namor. We deserve to be attacked.

I don't understand how recasting is considered disrespectful but using Chadwick Boseman's death to continuously market the film is not.

T'Challa's death is a big part of the movie, so it makes sense to reveal that part of the story without giving too much of the rest of the plot away.

I think no matter what Marvel Studios did that it wouldnt please ALL fans like what Boseman portrayed in black panther.

i get both sides too. We have the mcu multiverse, mcu snap, and mcu story to decide who becomes black panther.

Going through with Shuri is cool with me. Theres backstory to that and all. If the mcu wanna tell it their way, sure why not!

Recasting Boseman wouldve been cool too. I mean his successor to the mantle of Black Panther would be critiqued no matter who portrays the role. Even some fans wanted Killmonger back for it somehow. Like his Wakanda would totally goto war then perhaps humble to become a really good black panther.

I don't know why people conveniently ignore that. His brother even said the same thing.

Chadwick Boseman knew just how inspiring T'Challa was as a character and figure for the black community, even going so far as to turn down marketing deals (IIRC one with liquor) because he felt they would be degrading or unfitting for both the character of T'Challa and the positive image he was, BECAUSE he knew just how beloved the character is.

But these people don't care. They only care that he's deceased, and not about Boseman himself or his history and views on the character. It's easier for them to be told what to think than to do research and think for themselves.

no one is ignoring that, but maybe the story Ryan Coogler wants to tell maybe doesn't have that in mind, or at least, not yet.

he can always be revived later on with another actor/different character from another plane.

I admit I didn't know about the family's or Chadwick's views. That being said, I don't share that opinion. If anything I feel like if T'challa is that serious to the community, it's because of how Chadwick specifically portrayed him, and recasting would counteract that. It's not like BP didn't exist as a property before the MCU, but he skyrocketed because of Chadwick. I'm sure there will be another actor in the future if they keep making these movies, but to do it literally the next sequel would be weird. I think Coogler even said as much.

I think I would prefer them to recast T'Challa and continue his story, but with Ryan Coogler returning to direct and writing the script, I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

After Doctor Strange MOM and Love and Thunder, if this is also meh I will probably drop the MCU until the next Avengers movie comes out, Phase 4 has just been so boring.

Ant Man 3 is going to be very important to setting up the next Avengers

Looks cool, but I'm not watching it with Shuri being the new BP.
