Best to worst:
- Borderlands 2

- Borderlands 3

- Borderlands 1
(could be ranked no. 1 for starting the entire series). There were a lot of gameplay issues with the RPG elements.

- TPS

I can see that. BL1 put a lot more emphasis on nuanced gun stats like recoil and accuracy... which later games eschewed in favour of elemental spam.

Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, Armory of General Knoxx was a superb DLC and it benefitted a lot from forcing players to use elemental attacks

I have only played 1 and half of 2.

Of those, 2 > 1, but I like the gameplay of 1 more. I just wish it had better missions and maps.

It wasn't so much that, as there were some skills that you had to max out to progress through the tree that had generic low-reward benefits.

Some of the trees didn't scale well or have synergy outside of maxing a specific gun type. The math didn't always end up correctly.

Borderlands 2 > Pre-Sequel >> Borderlands 1 >>>> Borderlands 3

I'm too apathetic about Wonderlands to care enough to rate it at all, but it's probably somewhere down near the bottom.

The Telltale game is probably the game I enjoyed playing the most first-time through, though it does have less replay value. And a lot of its cool factor depends on having played the other games, whereas BL2 sort of stands on its own. So depending on my mood at any given time I'd probably put the Telltale game somewhere in the top 3.

If the Telltale game doesn't count, arguably Wonderlands shouldn't either.
