Yakuza 0 or Kiwami 1 Either is a fine entry point. 0 was the first Yakuza game I finished after I loathed my experience with Yakuza 1 on the PS2 (probably because of the terrible dub). After 0, I went on to play Kiwami 1 and the rest of the series all the way to Like a Dragon and absolutely fell in love with the series. I also highly highly recommend Judgment and Lost Judgment (which I just finished playing last night). Those two games have incredible storytelling. Their story may infact be even better than the best story in the Yakuza games especially the first Judgment game. ... Copied to Clipboard!

The one downside to starting with 0 and then playing Kiwami next is that 0 is better in every way. 1/Kiwami has a very basic plot and is lacking in side content compared to 0. While 0 might be a contender for the best game in the series, it also isn't the only contender, so its not like its 'all downhill from here' either. ... Copied to Clipboard!
