Butler isnt that bad, I didnt watch the entire game but hed draw fouls on the block. If there were a lot of BS fouls I didnt see, well, I didnt see em. But yes Harden used to be wretched to watch

well you could argue durant has been a co-source of all their problems so I don't think it was a good plan

he was also a shoe size away from possibly winning a title

also it's not even just about durant/kyrie, it's about the moves since then. The trade for harden that cleaned them out. Letting kyrie run the ship and play during covid. They've just made multiple dumb (imo) moves.

After Giannis scored 50 points in game 6 of the NBA Finals, he celebrated by ordering 50 chicken nuggets from Chik-Fil-A. Now, after scoring 54 points against the Clipper, his 3rd 50+ point outing this year already, he told reporters that he plans on going to Culver's and ordering 54 cheeseburgers. He'll eat as many as he can, then share the rest with his son and maybe a couple to his dog.

The takeaway here is that Giannis has amazing taste in Midwestern fast food.

Giannis is an awesome representative for Wisconsin sports. So much better than diva Aaron Rodgers.

Russell's contract expired at the end of this season; trading him now for value rather than letting him just walk away makes sense. The Wolves get Conley, who spent the last 3 years played with Gobert on pretty good Jazz teams. The chemistry with Russell and the rest of the team has been spotty at best. I'm not sure what's to really be made a big deal out of this; it isn't a bad trade. Most analysts have been projecting the Wolves trying to get Conley for a while now.

Really its more the Jazzs doing, I dont know why they got rid of Vanderbilt and Beasley as well, who are both solid rotation players that the Lakers will probably be able to use

Well, they aren't trying to get better.

For me the kicker is:
The jazz really couldn't talk the lakers down to unprotected? The lakers have ZERO leverage here, the jazz are in no hurry to do something, or shouldn't be anyway. They have done the lakers a huge favor here.

It probably still doesn't work out for the lakers, DLo isn't gonna turn them into a championship contender imo, but they are better now, and the jazz get some crap pick 4-5 years down the road. I just don't get it.

The Gobert trade can't really be defended, because outside of a few 20/20 games he's not been a good fit. He hasn't played well without Towns, and they didn't play well together. Granted it was a small snapshot, but that's the past and we're locked into Gobert for a while now. No changing that. I feel like trying to pile on Minnesota for this trade is just an attempt to be funny though, because like I said I don't think this was a bad move. Russell probably wasn't coming back next season unless the Wolves went on a good run in the playoffs, because he'd always be behind Edwards and Towns and I think he probably thinks he can do more than that. Granted now he's behind AD and Lebron. I doubt he'll be resigning with the Lakers either though. They already got rid of him once. If he wasn't traded now I feel like the same people would call Minnesota dumb for not trying to get something for him and letting him walk.

Conley is a good fit for us. He can play with Gobert and hopefully improve the team. He's also not a star player or will try to be, which is what we need because we're supposed to have two stars already.
