				 kids need more sleep, but need to start class by 7:30am while dealing with tons of homework then when they get to highschool they have to deal with homework, a part-time job, and raising a kid. 				 i like energy drinks as an appetite suppressant and for an energy boost ofc. makes me feel more alert than coffee too.  used to drink 3 sugar-free ones a day at my old job. I was constantly sleeping like 2-5 hours tho but mainly because i was also addicted to osrs and had to get my ehp up after work. id play it for like 8 hours after working a 12-hour shift (+ also 1-hour total commute). just felt like something I had to do. i hardly drink them now but whenever i do i feel happier :) --- I'm a Taurus I like collecting headphones and iems. 				 To me, none of these drinks are energy drinks... for their caffeine levels are so low by volume. Espresso is the only true energy drink. For it is king of caffeine by volume at 100-120mg caffeine per ounce (one shot). 1 doppio (2 ounces - 200-240mg caffeine) in the morning... and 1 doppio with lunch is usually enough for the sleep-deprived. --- "History shows again and again that nature points out the folly of man. I honestly could have used an energy drink when I was in high school. I was taking medicine that was making me sleepy, and I often didn't have time for a real breakfast so I'd just buy a cinnamon roll on the way to 1st class. I'd end up crashing hard midway through and kept getting in trouble for sleeping in class. Even before that, I hated getting up at the crack of dawn every day. If your parents never taught you and you never had a teacher run you through it, it's easy to go through your early years eating junk. Teen you doesn't have to care because your metabolism is still insane. Then one day you become old and all that catches up to you big time. 				 Signs? What signs? Most teens don't have signs of declining health. That usually happens later in life, at which point the actual cracks start showing. Doesn't happen overnight of course, but once it happens you can't exactly erase years of bad habits in a day either. Not saying eating healthy is only for the best of the best, nor am I saying someone is blameless for their bad habits. All I'm saying is that it's real easy to not notice if no one taught you what to do.
