Dressing up as real life serial killers for Halloween is just.....weird. And here's why: If someone can dress up as Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween, then how is that really any different than someone dressing up as Adolf Hitler for Halloween? They're both horrific killers and evil pieces of shit. So where is the line drawn here? Dressing up as fictional characters is fine because they're just characters. They never really existed and thus never really harmed anyone irl. But these real life people that people dress up as for Halloween are responsible for heinous crimes. I saw a bunch of women on Twitter who, after watching the Netflix Jefferey Dahmer show, said they feel sorry for him and that if he was still alive, these women wish they could meet him so they could try to "change him" or whatever. I know this is nothing new however. There always seems to be groupies for the worst of society. Just look at all of the fan mail convicted murderers in prison get from women.
