https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator_Classic/ Somehow that seems actually worse than this. Imagine buying all that DLC. MorbidEngel posted... https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator_Classic/ I did a deep dive on Train Simulator and found out there's a very important (ish) reason for the high cost of the DLC... train engines and cars are apparently protected designs (kinda like the Volkswagen Beetle or the QUBE car and such) and not only require licensing to use, but royalties as well. --- "Salt cures Everything!" MorbidEngel posted... Sure, but still, that's like $1,000 in DLC Don't buy everything, just the pieces you want. Consider it digital toy trains, some people build some insane stuff. I got the game, but only some DLCs from bundles. I have a total of 30 DLCs, all from the $1 tiers on Humble, and I even skipped one or two. --- I'm not lazy, I just don't care http://backloggery.com/DeltaBladeXNZ - https://steamcommunity.com/id/DeltaBladeX - https://rayshift.io/na/31902622 ... I kinda get both sides of the DLC argument. While companies have been known to use DLC to milk extra money with little effort or cut a full game into smaller pieces, you can also create new content or game modes well after a game's release, often with fan input/collaboration. For games with large amounts of DLC, some players may feel compelled to buy it all for the sake of completion, but there's no real obligation to do so. I just look at the same way as you would with other collectibles, like trading cards, figures, etc. You buy the ones that you actually want, and if you want to get the whole set then recognize that that's a bigger financial investment. Of course if you don't want to support such methods, then that's also your right. --- Official King of PotD You only need one T-Rex to make the point, though. ~ Samus Sedai ... Copied to Clipboard!
