Crap, crap, crap, oh something good but they want you to pay extra to rent or buy, crap crap crap, something else good but they want you to sub to STARZ, more crap.

I don't think I'm renewing my subscription next year. 2 day shipping isn't worth over $130 or whatever they raised the price to.

Look in the "free to me" section if you want to avoid pay channels and rentals. Definitely not much selection but I rotate around the different channel addons every few months since individual apps tend to suck worse than the Amazon interface.

Prime is always full of those "last thing the cable channels play before they go into black and white reruns and infomercials" type movies that no one actually wants to watch.

Prime exists so you don't have to spend three hours finding some damn thing that's exactly seventeen cents just to get free shipping. The terrible video selection is just a bonus.

In the Amazon search engine, type in Prime Video ____ movies (fill in the blank with a movie genre you want. For example: Prime Video Action movies).
Afterwards,
You will get search results of FREE Prime movies of the genre you want and it's typically the more popular movies that pop up first.
KIND OF.
For example, I typed in "Prime Video Action Movies" and I got these top first five results:

1) Memory (that's a NEW action / thriller film with Liam Neeson. If you like his movies, then give it a chance. Just don't expect anything as good as Taken, but you might like it if you like Liam Neeson action / thriller films in general).

2) Catherine Called Birdy (um.... that's NOT an action film. LOL. Okay, so Amazon's search results aren't perfect. However, it's classified as a comedy AND adventure, so I guess there is some action in it?)

3) For the Greater Glory (modern western. Proceed with caution. There is a reason most people who like westerns prefer the older stuff. This is a genre where in general older films are better than the newer films (some exceptions apply). But give it a try anyway if you are willing to experiment).

4) State of Grace (a neo-noir crime film with Sean Penn as an undercover cop, infiltrating the Irish Mafia in New York's Hell's Kitchen led by Ed Harris and Gary Oldman. Maybe worth a look if that sounds interesting to you?)

5) Man on Fire (this is an EXCELLENT film starring Denzel Washington, Christopher Walken and Dakota Fanning. STRONGLY recommend this film. It's a GREAT film. However, I'm willing to bet you have already seen it. If not, watch it immediately).

I'll check out Man on Fire. Don't think I've seen it.

I did watch Winchester yesterday and think I got PTSD from all those jump scares with the surround on.

The only thing I remember about Man on Fire was getting a major headache from the editing style. Lots of really quick cuts and jarring camera effects

True, but they also got the entire classic Evangelion dub crew back to redub the Rebuild movies. Including Rei's VA, and the three bridge characters like Maya.

Prime Video is unnecessary and just another mountain of shit to pay for, but I'll give them props for that. Shinji, Misato, Asuka, Rei, Kaji, Gendo and the bridge characters all got to close out the series, from episode 1 of the anime to 3.0+1.0. I don't give a shit if y'all prefer the subs, that was cool as shit.
