My state was pretty red, but then turned blue. It still feels pretty red with the southern border racism but it's progressing. It's amazing how well voter suppression works in this country. Pair that with those who would vote for the status quo staying home because they think it's safe, and you've got a recipe for some surprising upsets. Is it likely? Not necessarily. There are some districts that are indeed so deeply entrenched in political tradition that upsets are all but impossible.
