Imagine billions of moms who was thinking maybe its good idea to not buy pokemon games in the future. To be fair the dex is often ignored when it comes to depiction of Pokemon. But if it gets too dark they ignore them like with most ghost Pokmon, in most depictions they're portrayed as cheerful and playful tricksters more so than a creature that eats your soul. In the trailer the girl reacted to the gengar and mimikyu like she stumbled upon a squirrel at night more than scary, soul sucking monsters.
