In the age of streaming services when theaters are on the decline, there's no good reason not to just make it a series. Big-name series play fast and loose with the structuring rules nowadays, which is exactly what DT needs. You want a 13-ep S1 and a 7-ep S2? Sure, why not. You want to throw a 2 1/2 hour episode in at the finale?
