Finished Chapter 11.

Anyone else think the slow weapons aren't all that worth it given we have Demons as slow attacks that do a lot more damage?

Now I likes me a good rhythm game, but there were a lot of distractions in that one making it difficult to spot the oncoming bugs.

Hit credits. Yeah that ending was trash lol.

I'm not even all that hype about the final boss fight. Yeah it was cool fighting as 1 and 2 and the triplet, but I was kinda hoping that we'd get at least one bit fighting Singularity as Viola instead of the tacked on "final fight" against Bayo's ghost. Also way to take close-range fighter Viola and have her fight a giant Kraken she can't approach. Also I'm not feeling like there was really much of a setpiece to the final fight.

Luka and Cereza as Viola's parents isn't the stupidest thing around, but have it be a weird alt world, like the only one where they actually fell in love. That way you don't have to do the dumbass "suddenly they're in love" garbage that totally wasn't earned narratively. "My always wanting to seek the truth meant that I become an obsessive man-beast as a multiverse amalgam!" Gimme a breeeeak.

Also Viola didn't get to do remotely enough to justify her taking over the family business. I get the idea is to usher in the new generation, but they didn't remotely sell it to me by making Viola a complete screw-up right to the end. Still, I think the scarf and glasses are all right. I'm not against Cereza no longer being the main character (three games with her is enough), but "oh well guess I died and got dragged to hell". I mean, I was waiting for the switch where we found out she found a way to survive. Y'know, like they did in the first game.

Go up to the floating guy and punch him and he'll start chasing you towards the ground. Much easier to hit them all then.
