You are getting spyware regardless of if it's new or pre-owned.

Bought a $300 pixel 5 7 months ago on eBay and its working great while saving 200 from retail price. The only details were very minor scratches. Im also guessing mileage will vary.

Well getting spied on by Samsung is still better than being spied on by some random person selling on amazon/ebay.

Samsung less likely to care since they have hundreds of millions of other customers.

its a crapshoot. you might end up with a phone that was just opened and then returned after a couple days for whatever reason, or you might end up with a phone that had a bunch of repairs done to it that is going to have a broken port after a few months.

personally i would not chance it if you're looking for something that will reliably last. theres not a carfax for phones to check and see what happened with it lol. i dealt with way too many people with broken refurbished shit when i was at verizon and it surprisingly was not usually their fault

Best solution is to wait for a good deal on a Brand New old Flagship, they do happen every so often.

Ye, Pixels are pretty cheap when they aren't the bleeding-new phone. There seems to always be complaints about them but in my experience they never actually materialize (and are always brought up by people who haven't actually bought a Pixel).
