No, but it wouldnt be a bad idea to keep the new cat separate from the others for a while. Let them interact through a closed door until they familiarize themselves with the others odor. It's still a thought/possibility as I haven't committed to taking the new cat ..my apartment isn't too big but I could keep her in my bedroom while the other two remain in the rest of the apartment. One big drawback would be cleaning litter - right now I have one box and scoop once a day, I'm guessing with three I'd have to get a second box... My 14 pound kitty forgot her back legs worked while jumping off a table. She banked off the edge of the chair and did a full rotation before she hit the floor.
