Specifically, 2 missiles hit a farm in Przewodw on the Poland/Ukraine border. 2 Poles were killed.

Probably an accident, maybe Russia apologizes and we move on? Or is this a war crime of some kind?

Russia will deny it and say it was Ukraine trying to provoke NATO to join, even though the truth is likely that it was some drunk or drugged out Russian soldier firing it aimlessly.

Looks like it yes, we just have to wait for official statements now.

Incidentally, this is also the day Trump said he had an announcement that he speculated would be one of the most important days in America's history. Maybe he's behind the missiles in Poland?

Publicly Russia is going to deny it. Behind the scenes they are probably shitting their pants and trying to talk to whoever they can in NATO to prevent escalation, because it was most likely an accident.

I don't know about that. They've been pretty desperate for soldiers and have pretty much just conscripted everyone with a pulse, which isn't exactly good for morale or competency. I could believe that they'll keep having things like this happen accidentally. That's clearly negligent and they should be held responsible, of course, but it still qualifies as an "accident" in the colloquial sense.

Uh... that sounds like article 5 to me.

Yaknow, Russia might be able to do a Saving Throw if Putin apologizes and claims something like ' they were aiming for insurgents near the border'

Maybe we should take this opportunity: Russia looks pretty ripe for conquering at the moment.

But really, even if intentional Article 5 doesn't demand an immediate military response. The wording, as I understand, demands an 'appropriate' response (which may or may not be military).

Ukraines defense was launching their missiles in various directions and it is highly probable that one of these missiles unfortunately fell on Polish territory, Duda said. There is nothing, absolutely nothing to suggest that it was an intentional attack on Poland.

Britain and France didn't bother to do anything while Poland was being invaded and since mobilizing troops would take time, France was determined to be the better place to fight in a defensive land battle but even then they didn't bother to spare any of their navy or airforce to do anything at all.

Poland was given up so relations between Germany and Russia could deteriorate faster and open up a second front (which it did).

That is probably true to a degree, although the UK and France likely would have fought harder for Poland if:
1) They were prepared to fight and
2) They didn't have to sail their armies past Germany to get to Poland. To be fair that was unlikely to have gone well.
