Flamigo is good actually, 0/10 video

I love Flamigo. He felt too strong to use in my actual party so early, and I tend to favor Pokemon that evolve, but I also like grinding out levels on Pokemon one by one, and I use Flamigo as the backup. So if I'm grinding against wilds, for instance, I'll have Pokemon X and Flamigo. If I'm in danger of dying, I send in Flamigo to finish things off. That way, a Pokemon I want to use in my main party doesn't get the extra EXP, and Flamigo's strong enough to be effective against pretty much anything.

I obviously don't need Machamp in literally every gen. I think it's just Dexit will truly hit me when I can't have one.

Lol sales numbers are out and it's something like 10 millon units in 3 days. Fastest selling Nintendo title or something something. Likely gonna overtake Elden Ring, a once in a lifetime caliber video game, within a month.

Maybe we'll have a Pokemon game that has production values and runs like a current gen video game during our grand children's lifetime when ThePokemonCompany has amassed 10 trillion in revenue.

Goddamn I got wrecked by a Gym trainer at the Psychic gym, which is my third gym after Bug and Water. I think this is the first time I've been had by a Gym trainer, maybe since the original R/B/Y. >_>

To be fair his Pokemon was in their 40s and my highest leveled party member is 39... Time for a bit of grinding I guess...

I just realized you can't do 6 v 6 battles... Man I even just made this whole team... I mean, 3v3 singles and 2v2 with 4 pokes is fine... but still :x

Finished the main game last night and my reaction was a complete 180 to Sw/Sh. Those left me completely unfulfilled and wondering what happened to the entire game.

S/V is a clunky mess but there weren't a lot of moments where I can say I wasn't enjoying myself.

Still super bitter at Vulpix/Ninetales being cut.

so overall, how are people finding the gameplay of this? and how much do the glitches get in the way?

Gameplay is fine. It's what you'd want out of an open world pokemon, for the most part.

The performance gets in the way in the form of agonizingly slow battling and menus, but it's okay otherwise.

I really enjoy the gameplay. The glitches don't get in the way of that too much but sometimes the frame drops to unbearable levels

Just wandering around, picking up Pokeballs(items), catching Pokemon to fill the dex, discovering new Pokemon, Totem Pokemon fights...they are all pretty fun!

Like, the trainers in the overworld are just...there. You can ignore them, you can battle them, it doesn't really matter, they are just there for the sake of having trainers.
I thought Legends Arceus not having trainers felt a bit empty, but now that we have them in this way...it still feels empty

The cities are the worst part of the game so far imo (besides performance obviously)
They are bigger than previous games, but they are sooooooo boring.
No important NPC to talk to...or hell, a NPC to talk to in general. They don't talk to you they just have speech bubbles above their head and it's the most generic text possible, like "it's a nice day today" or the like
There is no world building in those cities. There are no side quests. There are no houses. The shops sell the same things everywhere. Your best bet is to just go to a gym and ignore everything else because it's a waste of time

you can talk to the people with the speech bubbles. Theyre basically pointless unless the speech bubble is yellow though

The most disappointing thing about the towns is that they clearly put effort into designing them (copy/paste restaurants aside). Many of them are big, they're well-detailed and all have their unique aesthetic, so it's extra disappointing that there's no point to them. There's even multiple cities without gyms, so I can only assume they had plans for more to do in them but ran out of time to implement any of it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one weirded out by the lack of houses.

Best explanation I've seen is that everyone is forced to live in small soulless apartments at the gym since the space isn't really used for Pokemon.

I like the direction they're going. If they keep going with this style and just polish it, I think there's potential for a really great game there.
...That's a big if though, what with TPC's propensity to somehow take out features and things that worked in previous gens.

Man... people REALLY like Mimikyu. Literally fought against 8 teams in a row with it and it was picked to be played in each of those fights.

My Meowscarada can't handle anyone there. I already beat all gym leaders and titans and suiciding in this fight doesn't earn exp so my only choice is to...grind? really
