The two Sears closest to me got rid of their video game section like 20 years ago and the other one like 10 years ago and both are now closed.

They got rid of a big reason to shop there...

The only reason to go to Sears for games was the clearance section. Only selling games on clearance is not really a profitable business model.

Sears stopped selling a lot of stuff. Not because the items werent in stock, but because people need to go to your store for a sale to occur.

I remember them still selling PS3 and Xbox 360 games still but the one at my mall definitely was in the process of closing sometime not long after the PS4 came out. I never cared to look if they carried any of those games.

I am almost certain my local wal-mart still has super mario 64 DS proudly displayed in the nintendo section. All these years since the DS was a thing and that damn game apparently still sells enough that its worth leaving it there.

I bought 10 sealed copies of Eternal Darkness at a Kmart back in 2016. I gave 6 of them away on here.
