And any regulations implemented will be implemented by the same crusty old people that bought "They're not loot boxes, they're surprise mechanics!" when EA convinced them loot boxes don't need gambling regulations, so I don't have too much hope that those regulations will reflect the actual potential the technology has for abuse. --- This is my signature. The technology already exists to broadly tell what people are thinking about or feeling based on which areas of the brain are active. Reading specific thoughts isn't as far-fetched as you might think; discrete areas of the brain are involved in formulating speech and all it will take to decipher that is to figure out which specific pathways are associated with which words. That's not going to happen tomorrow, by any means, but it's far from totally impossible. --- This is my signature.
