Beer cans are louder, and they hurt more, and that's why we love them.

If you throw a full can of pop and it hits somebody in the ear they might go deaf from that in that one ear

Both time and loudness are important factors when it comes determining hearing loss risk. At 90 dB, damage to hearing is only a concern after 2 hours of constant exposure. Only noises above 140 dB can cause instant damage to hearing. So stop being such a crybaby over a momentary, not-all-that-loud of a noise.

For healthy ears maybe

Mine have been damaged, severely, by a lot of prior noise exposure. It doesn't take much to damage mine, and I get regular checks that prove it.

if noises that are part of daily life are too much for your ears, that's a "you problem" and you should consider wearing ear protection.

I have been wearing hearing protection pretty much all day after developing phonobia due to my gradually worsening hearing loss, hyperacusis, and tinnitus
