I just like the good cheer, regardless of the label. People can mention Christmas, Holidays, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Solstice, Festivus, whatever to me, and I will wish it back.

I don't care, just say it nicely.

Hell, tell me to get fucked in a nice tone and I'll be merry and bright

I always say Happy Holidays. It's just so much more all-inclusive that way

I use Merry Christmas with family though but I'm sure everyone uses whatever their family celebrates in that case lol

I used to use both once. I would say Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! Now I just say Happy Holidays because I am lazy and don't want to offend anyone. I literally saw a customer get angry he got wished a Merry Christmas once. I mean geez it was made in good faith not like the cashier was like I am intending to offend this customer by wishing him something he doesn't believe in or celebrate.

I mix it up and say both of them, but the notion that saying Merry Christmas could offend anyone is insane. Just because you don't celebrate doesn't change the fact that the day is Christmas. Same goes for every single other holiday or celebratory/ceremonial period. It's literally not offensive to wish someone a good day. What the fuck is wrong with people

If it's literally Christmas day or some socially contextual detail (like a party or something) makes the greeting relevant, I say Merry Christmas. Otherwise say Happy Holidays, but at the end of the day doesnt matter to me.

Merry Christmas is more relevant to me because my family and I celebrate Christmas, but I do appreciate the inclusivity of happy holidays as a general phrase.
