I mean, a little? Although the first was a bit underwhelming by the end and the second was really bad, and is even worse the more I think about it. However, Wonder Woman has a rich library of villains I'd love to see in film.

Revealed: Wonder Woman 3 was axed by Warner Bros. after director Patty Jenkins 'rejected studio notes' and 'walked off' the highly-anticipated Gal Gadot project

Oh. Plus the next villain was going to be Circe, so... eh. A reboot would be nice.

I wasn't even interested in the first one, let alone #2 or a hypothetical #3.

The first movie was mostly mediocre, and got vastly overpraised because everyone wanted to fellate the shit out of the first official female-lead movie. The second movie was pretty much trash.

If DC/Warner is shitcanning a spate of bad movies, it might be a positive sign - it might mean they're actually finally upping their quality control and future projects will be worth looking forward to. On the other hand, it might just be Discovery slashing and burning everything they can to save money because the entire bloated mess needs a good trim, in which case the future's probably just as bleak as it's always been, just for different reasons now.

It would be nice if DC managed to improve though, because it would be nice to have worthwhile comic book movies again now that Disney has decided to dip the entirety of Marvel into hot liquid feces and sell it as a fudgesicle.

The third would be so bad it would make my appendix burst.

I enjoyed Wonder Woman (the first 40 minutes of Themyscira back story could've been left out entirely and it would've been a much better movie for it) and I enjoyed the other movies with her in it like Justice League (I haven't seen the director's cut version, but from what I've heard it's a huge downgrade).

I haven't seen any second Wonder Woman movie, but I'm assuming it's the one that was 80s themed or something? Seemed less like a sequel and more like a one off spinoff or something. Didn't seem interesting to me. I was never much into the whole 80s revival trend to begin with and it definitely wasn't what I wanted for Wonder Woman 2.

A new movie would've been goo though, but after how Discovery+ has run everything into the ground in record time, I don't have any hope for DC stuff anymore. Shame as they were one of the few modern companies that still had some stuff left that interested me. This is what happens when you sell out to the bad guys.

That sounds to me like she was trying to do something creative and/or interesting and the studio tried to Spider-man 3 it by shoehorning in some elements they thought would make for a more popular movie. I can't say I was overly interested in it either way, but I can at least respect the creative integrity of not letting her work be undermined by executive meddling like that.

I would like to know how awful the third one would have been. The first one already doesn't hold up that well compared to how much people praised it but the second one is incredibly bad. Every time it's on tv here I always catch it at the part where the (secondary?) villain is just randomly kicking the shit out of a dude on the street because he said she was hot.

what

Assuming you're reacting to the post directly before yours:

She has sex with her dead boyfriend while he's possessing a random dude's body. Since the guy whose actual body it is never gives anything resembling consent (and may be completely unaware and incapable of giving consent), it's effectively rape.

That's one of the things a lot of people thought was kind of creepy about that movie. It's kind of amazing that particular plot point made it past multiple writers and the entire rest of the production crew while it was being filmed and apparently literally no one realized the implications of it.

I wouldn't say the second was 80s themed. It just took place in the 80s. But I don't recall a lot or emphasis on 80s related pop culture or anything.. then again it was a forgettable movie

Is James Gunn not confident he could do a better job or something? Cause let's face it love or hate the movies you gotta admit alot of people liked gal Godot as wonder woman.

First one was okay, Gal Gadot was fine enough, second one was absolute donkey trash, so with that I'm out. How Patty Jenkins went from the first movie being empowering to both men and women to then having wonder woman rape an unconscious man in the second movie is beyond me.

It was just there to bridge the gap more between the first movie, and the current day, considering she'd been running around since WWI. I guess we're lucky they at least put her in '84 and didn't drag out out by having a WWII sequel or something.

To be fair it's kinda one of those things you enjoy if you are already a big fan of the character. It was helped by being a decent movie that was a female superhero lead.

I felt how you felt about captain Marvel.

How many people know who he was? Or is that the point: nobody truly knows anything about WWI so why not superhero villain...?
