Influenza doesn't typically have gastrointestinal symptoms. It's a respiratory illness. What people call "stomach flu" isn't the flu at all, and instead refers pretty broadly to any number of GI infections. --- This is my signature. I was really sick and you go and try and correct me on terminology? I was puking my guts out all night that evening. Next day i was extremely dehydrated. do you have coughing/sore throat/chest congestion at all or is it strictly in your gut? stomach flu is awful, but I have seen a "flu" going around that causes coughing and vomiting which I seem to have caught. Like adij said, its most likely not the flu.
