Meh give it 1-3 years and AI art will be more widely acceptable, and those against it will be a vocal minority.

AI art and its implementations are growing surprisingly quickly.

the artists used to train the ai have found their own signatures in ai generated art. it literally just steals their work

I've seen these claims, but I've yet to see one that actually looked the the artists' signatures. That's because it's not copying signatures. It's making something that looks like a signature because it has learned that often art has a signature in that part of the image. As I said, it doesn't actually store or directly reference images while drawing.

There are legal and ethical concerns with the training models using copyright material that are definitely worth discussion, but we can't have that discussion if people are spreading false information about how it works.

I feel like that one would actually be amenable to AI created horrors.

I love AI creation and I have artists I follow and have bought products from. You'll have to elucidate on your point here, though I am aware of factions who are strong supporters of whatever fanbase they're in and will fight tooth and nail against technology that threatens it.
