I'm pretty politically active. I've phone banked, I've canvassed petitions - I helped get marijuana and felon voting rights onto the Florida balot and passed. I've volunteered at food shelters and triee to get into education.
Posting shit on the Internet is not a sustainable pathway to change. It's one thing to normalize specific language, it's another to ostracize the peolle who you're trying to get on your side. There is a balance. There are bigger forces at play (Fox, Facebook, even Twitter) keeping people in bubbles and generally nitpicking every position isn't a winning move. Politics is like tug of war, you want to pull people and policies in your direction, even if it's not perfect.

My issues was not the latter part of him saying we have to do more. But using woke like that. Some people think it is small but it big and part of an issues when racist people take something that is positive for black people in turn it into someone horrible. Musk is irrelevant to what Obama was actually and contextually arguing. Especially when Musk is agreeing with Obama for contextually and vastly different reasons that you are deliberately ignoring.

You are zeroing in on Obama said the word "woke" while intentionally ignoring the context of what was specifically being argued.

1. Dismissing everything about a person because they did some wrong or fucked up.
2. Thinking tweeting or complaining alone is enough.

Obama's presidency was defined by being pushed around by a much tamer GOP than what we've had to deal with in recent years, and being absolutely hated by a far less rabid right-wing America, so it's pretty fucking wild that he still wants to chastise leftists for being mean to them. There is no peaceful co-existence with them. They've made that quite apparent by this point.

He's right about slacktivism but that criticism will always ring hollow when it comes from the right. Obama is no friend of progressives and he's made that painfully clear time and time again, and if there were ever a time when socialists actually advocated for systemic change, that war criminal would do everything in his power to quash it.
