We've had several games today where the momentum completely shifted from the first half to the second half

That's normal for the Raiders!

Good lord the fumbles for the Bucs.

I felt really good about the Cardinals going into that game, then they lost a billion people to injury within a few minutes of each other and instantly died.

The third turnover for Tampa Bay in this quarter

The biggest comedy show for Bucs this 2nd half.

Burrow is trying so hard to help the Bucs but Tampa Bay keeps messing it up

Tannehill takes a bad sack, Titans miss long FG.

This game is going to be 7-7 forever

Titans/Chargers also continues to be a comedy of errors

The Raiders have 27 yards of offense (and 7 points for New England) on their last 4 drives.

Chargers ruined the 7-7 tie.

Patriots scored way too fast it's now time for the Raiders to UNLEASH THEIR TRUE POWER

Chargers defense did an excellent job of killing all of their timeouts before giving up that TD. Just as you'd expect from the Chargers!

Also after converting that 4th down, the Raiders went 68 yards in 3 plays for a TD. Huh.

The Patriots season just ended on a useless run up the middle for no reason that resulted in a scoop n score.

Dang, I suddenly felt violently ill and ended up having to lie down. After about an hour I decided my head could take the TV being on and the first play was the Bucs fake punt mishap.

and then i gradually had warm fuzzy feelings as that 3rd quarter went on

sounds like i missed a possible all-timer with the raiders/patriots tho. not that i have a choice with cbs.

Yeah were going to need a catchy name for that amazing bullshit! Just fucking brilliance!

not sure why Rhamondre felt compelled to try to extend that play, maybe just because the first few seconds went unexpectedly well. and then seeing the lateral from him apparently made Jakobi Meyers' brain short-circuit into "oh **** can't go down gotta score"

Also with the Pats effectively dead, the Jets are now in full control of their own destiny. They win out, they're at worst the 7 seed.

There has to be a 4-way tie between the Chargers, Dolphins, Jets, and Ravens. The Ravens must beat Atlanta, but lose to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. The Chargers must lose one game that is not to the Rams, because the Jets have to be able to tiebreak the Chargers as well as the Dolphins. This forces Miami down to 7th, and knocks out the Ravens on H2H for 7th place.

This is still the best scenario!

There's a lot of low IQ plays getting made in these NFL games.

If I could circle back around again to the Jets game before the Giants shit the bed...

That last drive was a stunning combination of shit coaching and plays. On the pass before the kick, the receiver catches the ball at like the 37, then....GOES BACKWARDS TRYING TO GET OUT OF BOUNDS WHEN HIS FUCKING TEAM HAD 2 MOTHERFUCKING TIMEOUTS! Did those 3-4 yards make a difference for the kick? Maybe. (Obviously not that particular kick he made but 3-4 yards closer is a more comfortable range) But the fucking time he ran off certainly did! He goes down immediately and calls a timeout, the Jets have an opportunity for a quick play to make up a few more yards...with a timeout still in hand.

Now, maybe the receiver didn't know because everything was happening so fast BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T CALL A FUCKING TIMEOUT EARLIER IN THE DRIVE AND LET EVERYONE KNOW THE SITUATION!

Honestly wouldn't be the worst since it'd force the Ravens to re-evaluate what they're doing, but I know they could miss the playoffs and they still won't make any changes. The Ravens are a pretty poorly managed team surviving solely off of their reputation of being well run at this point.

There's a nice potential mess of the Dolphins, Patriots, Jets, Ravens, Browns, Chargers, Raiders, Titans and Jaguars all finishing 9-8.

With that scenario, the Raiders, Chargers and Dolphins are in as seeds 5-7, as well as the Jaguars as South winners.

Time management is the rarest skill in the NFL.

It's one of the few areas where I could genuinely believe you could take someone who "has played some Madden" and probably outperform the league. I'm actually surprised teams haven't made like a niche coaching position for it and just like have them hang near the coach when needed to just shout "god call timeout".

...or worse maybe they actually have done this and this is still the result

I mean the Rams have a guy just to track McVay and make sure he stays off the field and out of the refs way. Not sure if that's really his only job, but yeah, having a Common Sense Assistant Coach would be a good idea.
