The key to enjoying Mexico is to make sure you are in an area and / or city where it is generally safe. You do your research as you stay the fuck away from the shitty parts of Mexico. Stay the fuck away from Celaya. You know all the people getting the fuck out of Mexico to come to the U.S? At least 50% of them are running the fuck away from Celaya. Don't go near fucking Celaya. It was voted the most dangerous place on the planet during the year 2020 and for damn good reason. It's also kind of crazy how Mexico has one of the safest places on the planet (Merida) and one of the most fucked up and dangerous places on the planet(Celaya). As for other places in Mexico, some places are better than others. Some places in Mexico are closer to the high quality of Merida where it's nice, safe in general, etc, while others are closer to the bullshit that is Celaya. Always a good idea to do research before traveling to a specific area. Spent 75% of the vacation drunk and hanging out with some twins from Connecticut and a couple other girls from Russia.
