When i was a kid a pitbull got into our high school and they put us on lockdown and the dog was just sitting with a group of kids getting petted. The owner came and just walked him back home.

This is true. There are other aggressive dogs. And most dogs, if not all, can be made aggressive, dangerous, or both So, getting rid of pitbulls probably wont help as much as they think it will

its easy to make a dog aggressive. You dont walk it, you dont socialize it, and you just keep it around the family with very little visitors.

They get stressed out and stressed dogs bite.

It's too soon to start talking about banning pitbulls. This is a tragedy, and we really need to be looking at what's behind these kinds of attacks. We don't need to start banning teeth. These dogs clearly had a history of mental illness.

Not always, the elementary school I went to didnt have a fence around the basketball courts and recess area and my house in high school had the playground for an elementary school right outside our backyard. Our backyard was fenced but the school playground was not.

I'd say it's probably to let people know to be more cautious around a breed that snaps for no reason

Literally the only reason pitbull hate spam topics exist is because those people want to express hate in a way that they interpret as socially acceptable. Theres no other reason. It also explains why they dont apply higher thought and logical thinking and foresight to determine that maybe if a breed of dog is all exterminated, the problem will move to another breed because the problem is the owner

But most pitbull activists don't "train" their dog. They think sitting in a house/apt and hugging it is enough, then it kills the UPS guy when they go on vacation. These people are legit mentally ill and think they can communicate with and talk to animals like an RPG character. Not to mention the big issue is not only the owner, but which pitbulls they get. Applying "social justice" to dogs that should be put down.

Despite me not being one of you crazed pitbull activists I have actually owned 3 over my lifetime, but I'm not only responsible, we also raised them and trained them. Some old, abused ex fighting dog isn't going to become sweet and grateful, it's going to behave for its food source and attack other people, as we see time and time again. This woman whose babies got literally shredded was one of you as suspected.

Arguing online like a dumb ass political debate while leaving the time bomb around her children. She should have trained the dogs at least instead of shitposting pitbull activism. And i bet because she thought kissing and holding them to her breast was proof all pitbulls are good and "it's just the owners", the dogs were jealous when she had to raise her real children.

The friendliest, least aggressive dog I have ever owned was a pitbull, and I still recognize they're inherently dangerous, just like many large dogs. It's funny that despite much lower incidents of mangling and murder, people don't deny rotties, german shepherds and many types of mastiffs can be dangerous.

Collect any 5 pitbull attack stories now and only 1 to 2 are the stereotypical drug dealer/illegal breeder with obviously out of control dogs. Most of the owners are pitbull activists who swear the dogs were good babysitters. If any type of requirement comes out(like every other country has) most pitbull activists will just protest and disobey.

You can't commit genocide on a dog breed. Heck, you can't genocide a species of animal. It has to be humans.

Tell me, do you have any issues with the eugenics that were necessary to even create dog breeds or to maintain them? Or rather, the inbreeding in the case of many breeds?

You don't see rampant dogo attacks because the breed is both regulated or banned....worldwide. I'm originally from NY and had to give mine up because they're banned in the state. They're banned in many countries or restricted, and many US states have restrictions...so why not for pitbulls? Many types of dog breeds have some kind of restrictions on them, except the most populous and aggressive breed. Pretty much half of the terrirer and mastiff breeds have either bans or restrictions in America, it's not a big deal to do so for pitbulls, which are just as dangerous and outnumber all other dogs by a wide margin.

Bad training and owners are the main cause, but pits sadly are known to snap more in those situations.

Honestly ban backyard breeders and restrict pits by require licensed training requirements from a certified trainer. They can be good dogs, but they need some of the most work.

Itll take another decade of pits slaughtering people.

Yellow was for dogs with slight temperament issues but were "functional" and for demoted red dog, this was mostly you know whats. Green dogs had almost no you know whats among them.

So they didn't let people who came to volunteer work with nanny dogs on their grounds where they have liability, but pawned them off to unsuspecting families just to get them out the door.

EDIT: This shelter also has a massive menagerie of feral cats with feline AIDS. not sure why they keep them along with the "red" dogs around.

I volunteered for a lab rescue once. The level of lab mixes which one of the board members who did Intake brought on got to such a problematic point that, eventually, myself and several other board members had to basically vote her out of the organization.

She ended up retaliating, reporting the organization to the local news, etc. Nothing really came from all that, other than headaches, time wasted, and she ended up splitting off and creating her own lab rescue which continued to adopt out a shitton of questionable mixes.

I do think that this behavior initially comes from a good place, but then can spiral dramatically out of control with potentially problematic results. People truly wanting to save as many animal lives as possible. The issue is when unstable, crazy people lead rescues and shelters and take it to an extreme level to where all they care about is the animals and they lose sight of the people and families involved.

Long story short - always be careful of what shelters or rescues you adopt from and do your research.

That's not even true. Actual dog trainers rate Pitbulls pretty high on the temperament chart.

The issue is that they are bred by normal people with no restrictions so you can have a dog with issues being bred. Then you have nothing but pups with those inherited issues. You also have them in large numbers. So imagine a dog that's being bred like chihuahuas but they have the strength of a large dog. If you don't train them right, which most of the time they aren't, they do damage when they react.

Also, there's a shit ton of misinformation in this topic that its crazy. I get some of you are just scared of dogs but just say that. Its a normal reaction but spreading misinformation and wanting to kill all dogs is ridiculous.
