Is it possible to give away my stuff in Final Fantasy XIV?

I played when the game originally came out and then i think another 2ish years after they wiped the game and rebooted it? I can't recall exactly.

Anyway, I recently dropped the 12.99 to re-open my long dormant account and my main is still on BALMUNG server (Lvl 50 Dragoon / Bard; Lvl 50 Botanist/Carpenter). I have over 700k monies and two retainers loaded with more shit than I know what to do with.

I thought maybe i'd be able to get back into the swing of things but really, i can't, and it was probably a waste of 13 bucks, but my loss is your gain, assuming I can give any of you any of this stuff.

Anyone on my server? Anyone know how we can move the goods to a different server you might be on? Let me give you my stuff!

Pretty much yeah. Just about everything in ARR is trivial to get at this point, and 700k gil is a drop in the bucket.

Yeah like your account is still on the base game (which people can go through for free now), and there have been 4 expansions since.

Whatever you're trying to do is really not worth the effort.

Man, I went back into Eureka today and things seemed pretty fucked up. First in Pyros people were instapulling the NMs that drop stuff, and even pulling them off into weird corners for some reason. Then in Hydatos the support fate came up shortly after Piasa, then when we went back to it someone else popped Goldemar and refused to hold it until after (in fact, instantly pulling), and also acting like they were totally justified to do it because otherwise we would be "wasting their time"

Because I was pretty pissed I decided to leave; I had been updating the tracker, so I shouted the password and said that I was leaving because people were being dicks. Then somebody (presumably the same person) fucking reset the tracker out of spite. Very cool!

That sounds awful. Resetting the tracker is a jerk move. Hopefully, someone was able to clone the tracker before that happened.

Man, I still have never done much but dip a toe into Eureka. I really oughta do it at some point.

The best thing you could do is go find a random brand new player who has a paid account rather than the trial and give them all your cash, lol.

Yeah; the bizarre thing is that it doesn't even get back at me for calling them out, just everybody else left in the instance!

Irregular tomestones of mendacity will not be awarded when using adventurer squadrons or the Duty Support system.

I bought a bunch of the rewards off of the marketboard.

Cost me a good bit of gil, but I'm gonna be saving a lot of time not grinding tomestones for those rewards. Now all I need from the event is Ixion and Nightmare.

Their goal is to populate unpopular content (same reason they do roulettes), so giving the rewards for solo modes would be counterproductive

The first indications we get of 7.0 will come at NA Fanfest in July.

I can buy that type of thing being significantly my fault in CC with teams of 5, but with teams of 24 that wouldn't make sense. Absolutely cursed

There's a fair number of solo instances that you have to do by yourself, but all the questing in between can be done together. There's also a bunch of dungeons and one-off boss fights you can do together - the first one pops up at level 16 in the MSQ, right after you first travel to the other city states.

FFXIV is basically a solo game for it's main campaign. You can do the dungeons together but that's like one 20-minute dungeon for every 3 hours of individual story/questing. You can still quest along-side them but it's going to be so much reading and running around and half the time in the expansions I think you're locked out from even attacking their quest enemies.

yeah you always have the option to do dungeons together from lv 16 onwards but the part of the game that's really special is single player

Yeah don't watch that if you know your prior FFs and aren't caught up with the main story. It's got a pretty major character spoiler for what we already figured out was the next trial by process of elimination and basically dooms Vritra's sister, doesn't it?

It looks like 6.4 will likely be mostly wrapping up this narrative thread which isn't surprising. With 7.0 essentially being the start of FFXIV Part 2, 6.5 is going to have a lot of weight resting on it's shoulders.

It's such a small thing, but I am unreasonably excited for that option that adds new items to the last slot in the inventory.

Ever since I watched WeskAlber's video on inventory management, I've been able to maintain a relatively clean inventory, and this little option will only help further.

But of course, my most anticipated QoL feature is role icons and names appearing in the chatbox and in duties.

Got my island to rank 14 last night and have made about 5M off of legendary node mats so far

Unfortunately it looks like combat materia prices are super low (I have like 999 of both the IX and X clusters I was planning to cash in). In fact, the prices are well below what they were before the patch! Hopefully they rebound by the end of the week or Im gonna feel like a sucker.

(Anabaseios Spoilers, don't click until you've cleared the entire normal tier and finished the quest) I thought it was just a fun little callback that they included a dialogue option for Ultima, the High Seraph. I always wondered whether or not the High Seraph and the spell Ultima were in any way connected, but from my understanding, the lore denied any connection. But... a YouTube comment pointed out to me that the xylophone(?) countermelody in One Amongst the Weary, the P9/P10 theme, is eerily similar to one used in Ultima, the High Seraph's theme.

Anyways, ran the raid series last night. All three themes are awesome, which was refreshing after the neverending piano organ from wing 1 and constant (but awesome) barrage of Scream from wing 2.

The music scroll dropped for the final fight but I only rolled a 50 on it :(

The P12 theme is so good. Never thought I'd be into that kind of music, but it slaps.

I knew I wasn't going to be able to get to it got a while, so I spoiled myself in the new raid tracks.
