Is there any reason to keep older equipment around? Is it useful for crafting? So far I've kept some around but I've also been selling SOME of it to bankroll the new equipment I can purchase.

Old equipment isn't really used for much. Though if you need money, just do the blowdart trick. Make Baldur Blowdarts and sell them. The cost of buying the mats is less than selling the blowdart. Not sure if they are going to patch it out, as one of the devs joked about it.

I read the Warner Report or whatever and it opened a new place on the map! I'm in the midst of that encounter. It seems like a collection of smaller encounters that I gotta do like, in a row?

The phorampa wildwoods? Its the place where you farm recruits, specially monster ones. Also a place to farm money if you rather not sell blowguns.

I finished up the Woods which let me gain enough money to buy all the recipes in Krysaro and +1 a bunch of my gear.

Not sure if it is worth upgrading the stuff, but whatever I did it anyways. XD

Damn does Catiua hate literally everyone who isn't immediately helping herself.

Yeah I'm gonna go save their friend. I'm a gallant type person after all.

+1 armor gives mobility skills such as increasing your mov by 1, jump 1, allow units to wade, etc and are generally better than the next level gear until you get can them +1 as well. Also pay attention to the stats your equipment gives, just cause it costs more money and is the next level up doesnt mean it is better.

Cistina has been saved! And now they want me to meet the leader of the Liberation Front or whatever!

I mean, I'm not REALLY doing anything else beyond running from the bad guys.

So it seems Cerya, the commander of the Liberation Front, has some plans that her sister, the lovely Cistina, does not believe in. That plan is to assassinate Duke Ronwey. Hmmm, I don't HATE the idea considering he murdered innocent people and then blamed it on the enemy and Denam and company. I respect his IDEALS at the very least.

Cistina rightly points out it would lead to all out war, which is exactly what Cerya wants! She wants Ronwey dead, and then when Brantyn declares himself Hegemon, she will assassinate him as well! So then... I guess her idea is kill all the leaders responsible and then just happily hope that will cause peace? WTF, that is short sighted Cerya, there are always those who will jump at the chance for power... much like yourself.

She asks me to join their cause, but things have already went too far as the Galgastani have all but fallen to Ronwey. Cistina walks away and Cerya asks me to help her. I wonder if Cerya wants to do what Cistina is TRYING to do, but sees no way to accomplish it? And as a commander, she must do what she thinks will win the day, not idealism.

I asked Cistina to join me, and she accepted! Yay, let's be the splinter group that fucks with everyone's plans!

Holy fuck, made my way back into the mainland and fought with Xapan again. While we were fighting, the fucking DARK KNIGHTS attacked, seeing an opening to take the fight to the Wallister's. Funny how that was the idea of Rowen, to attack them after Galgastani fell.

In the fracas, Xapan takes Catiua while the Holy Knights try to hold off the Dark Knights. Wonder if Catiua will he mad I come to save her, given that strategically it makes little sense to wander into a likely trap for ONE soldier. Ain't that right Catiua?

I am at the end of chapter 3, myself. Catiua is so fucking stupid, but she's my sister. I've never had a sister in real life (just two younger brothers but that's a whole different bunch of neuroses) but I would fucking kill for her. I forgot how the rest of the game goes; it's been like 20 years since I played the PSX version, but I am going to murder so many people for my sister, I hope the game ends well.

Vyce basically told me I'm dirt and he was always lying about us being friends. Son of a bitch. I was about to beat him but then what's his name comes in and tells me that the Bakram are coming and we need to work together.

... not sure what to do. These guys fucked me over royal but I doubt the Bakram are gonna be any nicer.

I told Leonard to go fuck himself.

Kinda loved the interaction. I feel like Leonar is basically an older, hopeless version OF Denam. The world broke him or he allowed himself TO be broken. But not Denam, he will not just try to live, he will live with purpose.

And for this reason, either to see if the world will break him too or because he hopes it won't, Leonar allows Denam and Catiua to leave... despite Vyce being a little bitch about it all.

The Duke calls me a traitor and sends Leonar to take me out personally.

Kinda love Denam putting Catiua in her place a bit. "Do you ever consider your countrymen at all? Or are you too consumed with your own travails to care?"

I really hope they manage a remake of Knights of Lodis one day. I played it a lot back in the day, and thought it a worthy title.

Oooof, that fight with Xaebos was tough. Gotta love it when the game won't let you even match level with your opponents.

Also my god is Catiua an entitled little snot. WTF does she even want?

The game assumes, at this point, that you have enough grasp of the mechanics to beat foes who are stronger but stupider than you. Rest assured that it will keep thinking of ways to make you cry, though.

There seems to be an interesting undercurrent in regards to this Necromancer. Even Sir Xaebos is telling Nybeth and his daughter to run away and working directly with him, whereas Denam and co. speak about how his actions are an abomination. Nybeth seems pretty chill and kinda oddly nice about things too?

Interested to see where they go with him.

Weapon skills are tied to the weapon mastery level, they dont change after changing jobs.

Also, kinda love that they give you the option to either duel him or go party vs. party. Assuming he got the same buffs for the duel that he started with in the party vs. party option... it was a good option to go party vs. party. XD

So Catiua ran away, encountered Dark Knight Lanselot, and he told her that not only is she not actually Denam's sister, but she is Versalia Oberyth?

Seems that DADDY WHY banged some handmaiden and got HER pregnant. Mannaflora. So Catiua is actually a Princess?

The Walliston and the Galgastani were at war in one part of the country. Within that conflict the Bakram were kinda off to the side, having fought with BOTH of them in the past for total control of the country. Walliston and Galgastani battle one another, the Dark Knights (who are hired by the Bakram) got themselves interjected a bit.

Meanwhile there is a Resistance for the total freedom of the area from all three (the group Cistina left), and from the wreckage of the Walliston and Galgastani war, Denam and his group formed to sorta try to just stop all the groups from fighting with one another? Vyce is playing everyone against each other, now seemingly working with the Bakram to oust the Dark Knights AND potentially Denam's group?

this is exactly why i loved TO so much when i first payed it back in the day. it is so much more complex and nuanced and layered than the standard fare at the time, of a group of teenagers who must adventure across the land and defeat a dark god or evil entity who has come back from 1000 years of banishment to destroy the world.

LOL, Vyce and his little group got BODIED by the Dark Knights and now he is begging for mercy? Little shit. Can't believe DK Lanselot granted him his life and just told him to fuck off and never show his face around him again. Gonna regret that Lanselot.

So now I think the Dark Knights are going to try to put Catiua in as the rightful queen, Brantyn maybe has this figured so he is trying to fuck over the Dark Knights? It seems another pawn of the Dark Knights was captured by the Liberation Front and DK Lanselot has ordered two of the Dark Knights to kill whoever took him and anyone who knows of their plotting.

Also quick note, my wife LOVES it when they give their death speech and then die, turning into a bag. XD

I'm trying to save Cressida versus Nybeth and my God this is just unfair. I get to her in time to wake her up but then she immediately is attacked and dies.

Do you have a gryphon, they are decent in getting into the fray and getting the enemy's attention. Also having a winged beast tamer for lobbing healing items and debuff or buff items.

I won the fight but couldn't save her... decided that was enough. Got to finally get a dragon to join my team too!!

Might play a quick battle tonight soon.
