This but also the fact that private and charter schools receive taxpayer money and have been moving towards making this open push for discrimination for decades... ugh. Also I'm pretty sure that if this gets appealed it'll pass through a bunch of Trump appointed judges before ending up before the SCOTUS.

Minnesota outside of Minneapolis-St. Paul is fundamentally no different than any of the other super red states around it, much like Illinois outside of Chicago.

I haven't, but yes, Bio's post above is correct. MN is a blue state due to the Twin Cities metro, which luckily is like 75% of the state's population. And the funny thing is that all of the clichs and jokes about MN are about the rural areas. They are admittedly pretty funny.

The one thing that is true about Minnesotans, regardless of metro or rural, is how passive aggressive they are. "Minnesota nice" is surface level BS.

I would say the inner suburbs lean blue as well, but not by much. I live in the inner suburbs, but I would like to move back into St Paul or Minneapolis proper. Suburbs suck.

The craziest part of that request is that the facts they use for their reasoning is actually true (students of color tend to do better in predominant/exclusive settings), and that they tend to underperform in integrated settings due to being more likely to be placed in special Ed, remedial Ed, or otherwise underserved.

But instead of pushing for more inclusionary practices where the students don't fall behind at predominantly White schools through proper teacher training and inclusive policies, it makes much more sense for them to just separate them apparently.

I havent been in school in like 10 years but when I was in school. It was an urban city. And what they did is they had zones. Those that lived in the zone had first shot at getting in and they let in a small amount from out of zone. Which basically leads to schools with 99% white people are 99% black/latinos. Due to how urban city populations tend to be segregated where people live. Which we dont talk but about but likely plays a part in the demographics the schools had.

I didnt know until I got to college that having to go through metal detectors and putting your bag through X-Ray machine isnt normal but that is what I went through at the 99% black/latino school.
