My electric bill has gone up by 23%.

It's impossible for anyone to not be affected by inflation unless you have zero financial responsibilities.

Yea but has it changed your spending habits? Are you trying to use less electricity?

Nope.

Over $41,000 in savings, almost $8000 in checking.

Bought a different car in September. My rent went from $725 to $850, but that's about it, tbh.

Just my grocery bill. I eat a lot of budget foods anyway but even some of those things, like rice, have gotten a few dollars more expensive. I've cut out a few things that are staples for me but not essential. I benefit from having that money more than having them.

My condo fees are being raised another $100 this month. Interestingly, with all of my expenses it is still cheaper than when I was renting.

everything else goes up in a few months as a result :( negates the increase at least for me.

rent goes up.
reduced help with public assistance due to money (wont see any changes till reporting for next year due to rent).
dog medication cost went down (no more apoquil. more carprofen).

started being more careful what i spend my money on for food (where to get it cheaper by watching for sales).
spent 350$ for food for the month.

Im trying to buy things less and more it less money into the CEOs pockets. Buy on sale, avoid things that are marked up. Let it rot on the shelves until they lower the price to pre-pandemic prices again.

Oh, I also play MegaMillions now that I see how inflation has driven a $300k house to $750k.

Havent bought any more salmon since the bag went from 26 to 40. Came down to 36 last time I checked. Besides that...since the wife and I have gotten good pay increases, we haven't changed habits much. That said we do have to modify our spending habits to get rid of CC de t
