This is literally the first game I can't play on any settings if that's the case. Unfortuanely, I can't upgrade that because I would need a new motherboard (+ram). I think changing the motherboard might invalidate my OEM license because it's considered a new computer. The only other thing I can think of was that I didn't do a clean install when upgrading Windows or it's a driver problem. When I first launched ER, it was stuck in 800x450 resolution and a few other games that worked previously wouldn't do borderless fullscreen. It's very likely you're in a similar boat as zang in that you just don't notice them but they're quite frequent.
