Is it just me or is Lisa actually REALLY good with Nahida? Her ult constantly triggers Nahida's skill while also being on the field a long time AND shredding defense.

e: though now, having experienced how Yelan plays, I'm wondering if I shouldn't go for her instead. I have enough pyros as it is, and I did enjoy Yelan's playstyle...

Yelan is way more fun to play for most people, and allows you to fast travel, so if you're on the fence I'd go for Yelan.

i feel like yelan needs to be c1, otherwise she's too similar to xingqiu

Thinking about team composition:

Yoimiya and Fischl would stay. They're both good in their own right and work well together. Which leaves either Benny or Barbara. One of those would have to leave

Barbara is a one trick pony, but her healing is reliable. Meanwhile, Benny can't always heal on command but is a lot more versatile.

If I manage to pull Yelan, I could replace Barbara with her. I'd have to respec Benny to give him more energy recharge, but I don't think it should be too hard

Bruh, I can't do this weekly rep quest because it's involved in a hangout.

I've actually hit the point where I literally cannot spend XP / Mora fast enough. I now have like 24 million mora and 1200-ish purple XP sheets.

How many hours of voice acting do they have to pay?

The whole point of f2p and gacha game models is minimizing costs

they have made billions in just this game off banners alone, money is not a conern of theirs. plus, they regularly take the money they earn from this game and re-invest it, except in vas.

That's not how it works. The money doesn't just get looped back into the game.

well, duh. i didn't say all of the money. but they obviously make enough that hiring a few vas wouldn't break the bank.

They could, but as this is the f2p gacha model, they'll minimize costs wherever possible.

So it makes sense they'd voice short quests with few characters, leaving very long quests with lots of characters unvoiced.

If they really wanted to cut costs they would only use gatcha characters during voiced events instead of the barrage of generic npcs that each need their own VA. Most voiced events have like 5 pointless npcs you have to get through before the interesting stuff happens.

it's probably much easier to hire a few new low popularity VAs for npcs than hire a group of specific people for specific characters

If I had to guess, I would say the lack of voice acting on these long chain quests is probably the result of time and logistics, not money.

They have to churn this content out so fast that recording so many hours of voice acting with so many different characters just isn't feasible.

Yeah, Id agree that its probably a logistics issue because of the multitude of languages theyd have to hire for.

50-odd wishes later on the Yelan banner:

C0 Xingqiu

Faruzan went from C0 to C1

Beidou went from C0 to C4

No Yelan and, surprisingly, no Ningguang either ._.

I'm excited for that beetle event. Though I read I need to do a few character quests and that chasm Yelan quest, glad I looked into it before the event arrived.

Oh right, the new banner started. Wasn't able to get my Alhaitham to C1, maybe I can get my Yelan to C1.

Yeah, although I would like to hear the voices of some characters like Jeht, overall I think it's better that those long side quests aren't voiced. I'm one of those maniacs who actually liked the Aranara quest line, but even I don't think I could have handled voice actors trying to do all of those voices...

Threw a ten-pull at Yelan's banner, hoping to get lucky. I got a Keqing and a Bell.

Back to saving I go.

Got Yelan by winning 50/50 and still have 57 pulls for the next 5* being Qiqi Dehya

Aahh I'm so happy! Finally got all 4 the gourmet dailies and can finish that question line now.

but her normal attack doesn't give the electro status like I'd hoped

C1 phys build Fischl was my main dps until Klee. She still has all her artifacts from those days.

I remember being cranky at launch when my son pulled Fischl and I got a Bennett.
